Rei Cosmetics was founded in New York City by two Japanese women who noticed that they couldn’t find affordable, high-quality cosmetics in the U.S. in the same way they can in Japan.

Every time they would travel to Japan, they would buy a lot of products to take back to the U.S.

Seeing that their teenage kids and their friends also wanted cosmetics from Japan, they decided to start a business to bring their favorite Japanese products and share their culture and heritage with U.S. consumers.
