At Rei Cosmetics, we believe beauty is about more than skincare and makeup; it’s about artistry, connection, and care. That’s why we continue to collaborate with Japanese female artists to design limited edition Thank You Cards that embody the spirit of J-Beauty and our brand philosophy.
For the 2025 holiday season, we’re delighted to announce our new Thank You Card collaboration with Junko Yoda, the celebrated Japanese artist who also created our very first set of cards last year.
About Junko Yoda
Born in Tokushima, Japan in 1943, Junko Yoda decided to pursue a career in art during her teens and went on to study at Musashino Art University in Tokyo. There she met her husband, fellow artist Toshihisa Yoda, and together they moved to New York City in 1967. Since then, Junko’s artwork has been featured in galleries such as Zabriskie Gallery in New York and Muramatsu Gallery in Tokyo. She continues to live and create in SoHo, where she works alongside her husband and son, both also successful artists.
The Artwork: The Garden #5
Our new Thank You Card features The Garden #5, one of Junko Yoda’s captivating mixed media works. The piece combines acrylic paint, washi paper, and photography to create a lush and immersive scene. Junko photographed tulips in Washington Square Park and paired them with a hand-crafted miniature bathtub - a unique element she created through many trials - to produce a dreamlike image that blends nature and imagination.
The beauty of The Garden #5 evokes the luxurious, sensory experience of many Japanese beauty products, especially those with floral notes such as &honey, Tsubaki, and Botanist. It also serves as a reminder that beauty surrounds us in everyday life and that moments of self-care can be both restorative and inspiring.
A Holiday Keepsake from Rei Cosmetics
As a token of appreciation, we’re including these exclusive Junko Yoda x Rei Cosmetics Thank You Cards in every order, while supplies last. Each card is a small work of art, perfect for collecting, displaying, or sharing with loved ones this holiday season.
Celebrate the season with Japanese beauty, art, and self-care, and rejuvenate your senses.
